Sence of Self

There are numerous ways to lose your own sense of self. There are things you can do to help preserve that, no matter what happens. This sense of self is essential in any self-improvement program.

*Know your purpose
Identify your life purpose or mission statement and you will have your own exclusive compass that will lead you to your truth north every time.

* Know your values
What do you value most? Is it love, family, freedom? Knowing exactly what is important to you will reassure you in times of doubt.

*Know your needs
Do you have a need to be acknowledged, to be correct, to be in control, to be loved? There are so many people who lived their lives without realizing their dreams and most of them end up being stressed or even depressed.

*Know your passions
What gets your blood flowing? What makes you angry? Determined? Knowing what fuels your emotions will help you know what you need to do.

*Know your inner being
Increase your awareness of your inner wisdom by regularly reflecting in silence. Breathe deeply to quiet your distracted mind. Don't shun silence and alone time. Relish it. It is during these moments that your true self makes an appearance.

*Know your strengths
What are your positive traits? What special talents do you have? You can increase your self-confidence when you can share what you know to others.

*Give freely
When you are true to yourself, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world around you, you give back in service what you came to share with others -your spirit - your essence.

They say "To thine own self be true." This is one of the truest statements ever made. Know yourself and be the you you were born to be.

Words to live by in 2011

Times are changing, this I see to be true,
must compassion leave the building?

The Ten Commandments  Words to live by even in the year two thousand.

1.    Love God more then you love anything.  Always believe in hope,

2.  Don’t make anything in life more important than God.  Remember if you and I have rules over us here on earth, what makes you think in our next life there is not a father?

3.    Always say Gods name with love and respect.  Ask yourself would you want someone to curs your name?

4.   Honor God by resting on the seventh day of the week.  Listen to your heart, be true to you and others

5.   Love and respect your parents.  Moms and dads do not last forever, their love for you is true - Love them back.

6.  Don’t hurt anyone.  You do not want anyone to hurt you? Feel others pain. Death is forever.

7.  Always be faithful to your husband your wife.  Think of a marriage as a team, be a winner

8.    Don’t take anything that isn’t yours.  Stealing is against the law for a reason, do you like when someone takes your stuff?

9.    Always tell the truth.  The truth might hurt, but a lie is worse.

10. Be content with what you have, don’t wish for other peoples stuff. Envy and jealousy will just bring you pain it is not a good thing throw it away.
Just Love the skin you are in.
If you don’t think highly of yourself fake it or break it
Always remember believe in hope, it just might save your life,
If your head is steering you the wrong way,
 Let your heart direct you back, don’t forget the child within.

Love be with you all, for a better tomorrow.

Honesty is the best policy

Words of encouragement love and hope.
If I could give anyone some words of truth it would be to love and be love, be honest no matter how painful the truth may be. Truth might hurt, but the lie is worse.
I would like to share this story;
 Today  I was talking with a friend. I was telling her how hard it was on me to find out later on in my life my father was not my DNA father. I will always see this person as my dad. But to me the lie was worse. I went on to tell her while growing up I had a number of friends that found out they were adopted. My friends were very upset and called their parents liars. I couldn’t understand than, but now I do. So I asked my friend if she were to adopt a child, would she not tell the child the truth? Her reply, when they are about 13-15 years old, old enough to understand.
My reply, did you not hear a word I said, Truth might hurt, but the lie is worse. Wouldn’t it be best to tell the child you adopt the truth right away? you can make the “moment special” say something like sometimes god in heaven know there are children out there that need a mommy and a daddy, so he blessed us with you. We are so lucky. Family is love. Same blood that runs through you runs through us. Truth might hurt but a lie is so much worse.  Your child will respect you more for truth. Children understand more then you know.  Yes right from babies. They are all gifts, and right from birth that is what you should tell them. Remember no one gets to pick their family.
Life is showing me how I must file my memories away. That was then, this is now. I am bigger then my past and I am moving on, Trying anyway. You tube and Blogger friends have helped me along the way and I am sure many others. Is the web not a wonderful place?  Sure is nice to see there are people around,  in our great big world. Thank you for all the support.
Words of encouragement love and hope.
Today we are going to tell our self how wonderful life is, all pain is going to go into a file and all worries are locked up. These are just memories, they are not who we are, rather just memories of past events that have made us who we are today. We are not broken, we are smart, We are going to go places, meet new people, We are going to live. The past is past pain.

S.A.D Seasonal Affective Disorder

There is hope, there is light
Do you need a SAD Therapy Lamps?

SAD, also known as Seasonal Affective Disorder or the winter blues is a type of seasonal depression that affects people only during the fall or winter months. Victims of SAD are often fine during the rest of the year but experience low moods once the fall season hits.
I am a Mom, I have a daughter that I myself have diagnosed with S.A.D , she has for many years now. BUT I bought this therapy light and it is a life saver. It really works.

Because SAD is a relatively new discovery, many psychiatrists and health care professionals may not easily recognize its myriad of symptoms. But as a Mom we see. I have since told the doctor of my daughter’s condition. I find they just wanted to give her drugs. I have always been told natural than pill, so I went out to see what I could do to help my daughter.
List of Typical SAD Symptoms
Symptoms I noticed my daughter and husband both suffer from,
They both experienced these symptoms only during winter months include:  October through to January

    * chronic sadness
    * excessive sleep
    * loss of energy
    * loss of any motivation
    * no longer interested in friends and family
    * excessive weight gain or loss during the fall and winter

Like any other mood disorder the causes can be complex and there may be more than one method for curing the problem.
And as a Mom and a wife to S.A.D this light truly has helped. I also give our whole family  vitamin D and B12 all year round. As long as the light helps I cannot see my daughter ever needing medication for this problem. This is one Mom to the next. Just one person to the next.

Mental Health, How to think positive

Mental Health, How to think positive
I believe the power of suggestion can be used in a positive way or a negative way, I know now I have been toyed with my whole life.
I’ve started with taking care of myself, getting up and moving, the more active I am the less likely I/we will be giving one selves thoughts that can lead to , {depression, post-traumatic stress disorder}, which has a hard time getting a moving target, so I have been told. Do positive things for others, this will make you feel good. Try to see the good in others. Tell yourself it is okay if others do not like you, you have no control of others thought. Just be true to you. Watch what you watch not everything is doom and gloom; there are positive things in our world we just have to look. Watching the news is depressing to anyone; I think the world forgot how to let us know about the good in our world.

I believe in the power of thought, why? If you have been fallowing me you know I am a survivor. As a child I was told I was stupid, ugly and everything hangs on you, I was called names, like frog, I seen a frog as an ugly thing back then. As I grew I told myself, NO I do not care what you say, I am pretty, I am smart and I think things hang better on me, then the people that were telling me different. You know I even see a frog today as a cute thing. This took many years.
I was told some shattering truth later in life; it was this info that brought on my post-traumatic stress disorder. Everyone has been telling me the truth for years, why did I not hear? There was the power of suggestion, whispering things in my innocent ears. Once again you will have to read where I have been to understand what I am saying. I am a survivor. Misleading me, to believe in things that were just not true. Such as {you have always been his favorite} simple words yes? It was these words that were repeated to me over and over and over again, not allowing me to see my true reality. This is called Abuse.
Now I tell myself I know the secrete to better one’s self. I have always known this to be true.
Positive thoughts, this is something I use to tell myself every morning to rid myself of the ugly image, I had been given of myself those many years ago. I was a young teen when I started tell me this, and I know I have helped many young girls that did not see them-selves as pretty with this.

Oh lord it is hard to be humble, when you are perfect in every way,
I look in the mirror each morning, and get better looking each day
To know me is to love me, I must be one hell of a gal,
Oh lord it is hard to be humble, when you are perfect in every way.
Or
Everyone wants to be me,
Me is the person to be,
Now that I am grown up I can see
How special it is to be me.
As too, when you grow up,
It will be, you will see
Everyone wants to be you,
Cause you are the person to be.
So you see it is important to love you.
Just as it is very important, for me to love me.

Now I am once again back too, that was then, this is now, I am in control, I am winning, so will you.
The heart sings many words. We just have to learn to the right thoughts.
This is what I am doing and it is for me.
jz in me.

Overcoming Abuse,with the power of thoughts

I believe Positive thoughts will cure sadness.

Overcoming my Abuse, I am a survivor and I used the power of positive thinking to help ME.
Happy thoughts are our conscience of our life" I think it is a good idea to think with our hearts.

I remember telling a friend this quote once and his response was: "That is deep...!"

This person was going through a depressing situation of his life and was discussing it with me, we talked about methods of overcoming depression and I thought of that.

Being confronted with my past, life’s overwhelming events in my life I have come to the conclusion, you must put things behind you, try to move on in a fresh start. Just because I have been confronted with negative, does not mean I must keep it. So these are thoughts I must learn to get rid of. Stand tall and move on. Starting with, - my frame of mind.

Now I try to seek the good out of every situation and this at times may require some real action on our parts. Analyze the problems, ask why it may be happening, what you may have done to provoke or not prevent it from occurring, your options of being able to fix it and who you may have to turn to for help.

Seeking spiritual guidance and help while using positive thinking for overcoming Abuse, is also a great suggestion. As overlooked as the Bible may be in the present ages (spirituality, hope, love), it does contain a lot of helpful affirmations one can repeat mantra-like in thoughts and speech and with the right attitude, you almost inevitably find the answer to your problems. Is this quackery or magic? No. Your thinking process creates your world. Remember: "Think with your heart, can’t be that hard.
Other things to keep in mind when using positive thinking for overcoming being abused we are to employ the proven methods of a proper diet and exercise {dancing with your partner} to create a healthy body and consequently a clearer and healthier mind which will be more capable as a consequence for overcoming. I love to sing, this helps me, come visit me become a friend along my journey.

Will positive thinking always work? I am hoping so.  It will be safe to say, like with anything else, you will only get out of it what you put into it. However, with the right attitude and mind-frame, it sure will beat overcoming abuse through a bunch of harmful drugs.
Do keep in mind though, it is the first step (thinking right that is) to solving a problem. Moreover, as far as problems in life remember in the word “Hope”. "Difficulties attract the persons character because it is in embracing it that we realizes oneself!"

I considering this, positive thinking obviously is the first step to ensuring that I make the right move for overcoming abuse and challenges in life.
I know my faith has been challenged, But I am a survivor, I will win. Positive thoughts
